Bodegas Vinessens, Primeros Pasos Monastrell 2022

Producing wine in what is now one of the most celebrated urban wineries in Spain, Bodega Vinessens comprises the husband-wife team of Andres Carull and Marta Ribera, who champion local Spanish grape varieties with a focus on minimal intervention and maximum expression. Primeros Pasos (meaning "first steps") 2022 is no exception to this rule, with an intensely dark, ripe blackberry nose and a finish of aromatic rosemary and subtle chocolate. This is Spanish Monastrell exactly as it should be and a superb pair with grilled lamb dishes.
